Services & Investment:
CBIT: An investment in a long term solution
My practice specializes exclusively in Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), which is designed to be a brief, skills-focused therapy, offering a powerful alternative to long-term counseling. The standard protocol for CBIT was developed for eight sessions, typically delivered over ten weeks, including weekly sessions followed by bi-weekly appointments. This structure provides the necessary time to meet all goals, from psychoeducation to relaxation training, plus built-in time for any necessary booster sessions. Because every individual and every tic presentation is unique, some clients may only need two or three sessions, while others may benefit from more than ten. This is an investment in a permanent skill set that you will have for life.
Session Structure & Focus
Sessions are typically scheduled for one hour, but my focus is always on goal accomplishment rather than just filling the hour. If a client achieves their goal (e.g., gaining full awareness of a tic) quickly, I may utilize the remaining time to begin the next therapeutic step. The process is collaborative, efficient, and tailored to your specific needs.
Session Rates
Initial Comprehensive Assessment Session: $175 (A required initial session where I comprehensively assess the client's tics, triggers, and functional impact to develop a precise, personalized CBIT plan.)
Standard Therapy/Follow-up Session (60 Minutes): $165
